BUILD Commercial Construction was founded by Nick Miller in Baton Rouge, LA. Nick was born and raised in Baton Rouge where he attended Catholic High School and LSU. He is a graduate of LSU's Bert Turner School of Construction Management.
Nick started his post-graduate career working for Manhattan Construction where he held a Project Management role in the building of L'auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge.
After two great years at Manhattan, which included a stint in Oklahoma, Nick took a role at Lincoln Builders, Inc. in order to move back to his hometown. After holding roles in Estimating and Project Management, Nick was named Senior Project Manager for the Baton Rouge division.
Marquee projects as a Senior Project Manager at Lincoln Builders included Ochsner Medical Complex - Iberville, Istrouma High School Renovation and Addition, ION Baton Rouge - Student House Remediation, East Baton Rouge Career and Technical Education Center, and various others.
Nick has been engaged on multiple occasions to represent Owner's who terminated contractors during construction as a result of the projects not meeting contract terms with regard to cost and quality. As a result of Nick's involvement, these projects were successfully completed with significant mitigation of damages.
Nick has also assisted legal counsel in representing the Owner's interest in large scale CMAR, Design-Build, and Design Bid Build projects for Public, Private, and Semi-Public Entities. Nick's involvement in these projects entailed negotiation of various AIA Contracts with Contractors and Design Teams.
