Steven Romero, Jr. is a seasoned Architect and General Contractor with over 24 years of experience in the design, construction, and development industries. A native of Louisiana, Steven holds a Professional Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was inducted into the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society for Architecture and Allied Arts. He is a licensed Architect and General Contractor in the State of Louisiana.
Steven began his career at C&R/Rizvi Architects in Boston, Massachusetts, before returning to Louisiana to join Coleman Partners Architects in Baton Rouge. During his time in architecture, he contributed to over $260 million worth of work including projects such as the Renaissance Resort & Casino in Curacao, Marriott Aruba Surf Club, McKinley Middle Magnet School, and multiple buildings on the Baton Rouge Community College campus.
In 2010, Steven transitioned into general contracting with Stuart & Company, where he served as Senior Project Manager overseeing major healthcare and institutional projects including West Feliciana Hospital, Lafon Nursing Home, and the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. In 2023, he returned to Stuart & Company as Director of Retail Operations, helping lead the firm’s retail division to more than double its revenue in less than 2 years.
From 2017 to 2023, Steven served as Design & Construction Director and investment partner at Bearing Point Properties. His leadership in multifamily development projects include over 750 units totaling $130 million in value.
